Classic International Harvester Diesel Heritage

Specifically, operators started the tractor on gasoline before switching it over to diesel once the engine warmed up, creating one of the most recognizable operating systems ever used by IH.

Because of that design, the WD-6 remains a favorite among collectors who appreciate mechanical history, old-school starting procedures, and the unmistakable sound of vintage diesel power. Additionally, this tractor represents an important chapter in mid-century American agriculture.

From a buyer’s standpoint, this is more than just an older used farm tractor. It is a true piece of International Harvester history with the kind of personality, presence, and mechanical character that modern equipment simply does not offer.

This McCormick WD-6 for sale was originally priced at $7,500 and is now reduced to $7,000. The seller is motivated, and this tractor needs to sell quickly.
